My career with insurance runs in my bloodlines. My grandfather was a multi-line insurance agent for 45 years, while my mother, Lori, has also worked as an insurance agent for over 30 years. During my summers off from college, I worked for both my grandfather and my mother and gained valuable insight into the field of insurance. Currently, my mother and I share an office as she is also a Medicare insurance broker and has been an invaluable mentor while we work together.
I previously was a middle school science teacher for 9 years in River Forest, Illinois and I have also taught European history abroad in London. In 2016, I decided to change careers and become a Medicare agent. This allowed me to combine my passion for education, my love for helping seniors, and my previous insurance knowledge into one vocation. Every year, I recertify and attend training classes to stay current with insurance industry changes.
I am a fully licensed insurance agent in Illinois and Indiana. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in History and Philosophy from from Iowa State University. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University. I also have an Associates Degree in Computer Science from the College of DuPage, which has kept me relevant with the latest technologies.
I just welcomed a baby daughter, Sasha, in May of 2022, and she has been a wonderful addition to our family. In my spare time, I like to travel abroad to Europe with my wife and daughter, record and perform music with my band, play hockey with my local high school alumni team, and bike local trails during the summer months.
